We don’t want your data.

Just Crosswords has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. There is no server of ours that your solving ever touches. Everything you do in the app (puzzles solved, times, stars, profiles, settings) stays on your device, with nothing tied to you. We collect no data about how you use the app. We can’t see it, and we don’t want to. The only two things that ever leave your device are below, and neither is tied to you.

What leaves your device

Two things, both narrow:

Crash reports. If the app crashes, a report goes to Sentry, a crash-reporting service. It contains technical details (device model, OS version, app version, and what the code was doing when it crashed). It does not contain your name, your puzzles, or anything you typed.

Purchases. The one-time purchase is processed entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play; we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to validate the purchase receipt and restore purchases across reinstalls. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and the receipt, nothing about you personally.

Sharing features

Challenge links, compare links, and QR codes work without any server: the link itself carries the data (a display name you chose, solve times, stars, and score totals). It goes only to the people you choose to send it to, through apps you choose. Nothing is uploaded anywhere by us.

This website

This site is static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and stores nothing about you. Challenge and compare pages read the data in the link entirely in your browser. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google’s servers when you visit.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, children included. Puzzle content is family-friendly by design.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Given what the app is, don’t expect much.
